Designed with help from Blane Chocklett and Martin Bowden, these innovative shanks allow you to swap sections however you like. With a dual connecting point, these shanks let you remove sections at will, making it easy for on-the-water adjustments or just fine-tuning your fly ad infinitum. The Fish-Skull Exchanger Shanks are 20mm in length, and whether you're adding just a couple or a half dozen of these, they make it easy to tie flies of any size, and with their triangular design, you get less of a gap between articulations, further increasing your fly's realism.

Uses

The Fish-Skull Exchanger Shanks can be used in place of any articulated shank. However, they really shine whenever you're looking for quick adjustments to your patterns or when tying a fly that you'd like to swap tail sections on—think a streamer that might look great with a hackle tail but also might look great with one of Kiley's Slow Rolla Tails; with the Fish-Skull Exchanger Shanks, you get the best of both worlds.

Comparisons

Articulated Shanks have been on the market for quite some time, and if you strictly want an articulated shank with no interchangeability, something like Spawn's Articulated Shanks are a fine substitute.
